Marc Hildreth, Is an up and coming DJ on the Leeds club scene and for those who don’t know him, here’s a little info;

Marc was born in Halifax on 4th February 1988 and before he had the chance to remember it, his family had moved to Nottingham where he spent 8 years of his life. When Marc was 8 years old, his dad (John) was given a big job opportunity in Leeds and this is how Marc ended up living in Leeds, the clubbing capital of the North!

Marc has always been creative and since he can remember, music has always been a part of his life, which is probably the reason why he has become a DJ.

Marc has been mixing since he was 15 years old, when the only thing he could afford was a pair of belt driven Numark Turntables (for those who are clueless about this, they’re really cheap and yes, really bad!). Marc started DJing when the UK Garage scene was in full swing (think The Wideboys – “Sambuca” and DJ Luck & MC Neat) with weekly shopping trips into Leeds for the latest Vinyl. Now that he is 22, with weekly residencies, Marc can safely say that all that ‘practice’ has really paid off!

Marc is also lucky enough to be friends with some of Leeds’ best DJ’s and Promoters who have have spotted the talent and commtiment Marc has to offer and so they continue to book Marc to play at their nights. Marc is currently a weekly resident for WE PLAY VINYL every Friday at The Mezz (Leeds).

In the future you can catch Marc playing at some massive events such as, HABIT vs CANDYPANTS at THE LOFT (Leeds), CANDYPANTS at ORACLE (Leeds) and probably one of the biggest events, if not the biggest event of the Summer 2010, SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA at MAGNA Sheffield on 30th May 2010 in association with HABIT, KISSDAFUNK and CANDYPANTS.
